Recently a friend received a simple email ¹ with the subject of "random bottle message":

The weight of overwhelm is simply an invitation to

re-center and simplify what truly matters to you.

The story reminded me fondly of The Listserve, a now defunct "global email lottery" where a subscriber was randomly selected each day to send an email to all other subscribers.

A message in a bottle, a ping from the abyss, sometimes just a reminder to sit up straight. The serendipity, randomness and occasional sense of deep connection from the posts was touching.

PageDay aims to recreate the experience. Each day we'll randomly select from received submissions to email all subscribers, as well as have the post be the homepage for pageday.org. If you'd like to take part, please email [email protected] and you'll go into the pool.

There's no strict criteria for a post. It can be long, short, serious or just a little hello. You're welcome to share who you are or stay totally anonymous. While we build up a little backlog of posts the site will stay as is, press share and contribute so we can get the ball rolling!
